SUMMARY OF LIKES – Mar. 23

March 23, 2013

The following are some of my most favorite internet waves from my surfing the web the last couple weeks.

FAITH:
“Some people can’t believe God would create a world in which people would suffer so much. Isn’t it more remarkable that God would create a world in which no one would suffer more than he?” The Sentence Against God

QUOTE:
“If we desire our faith to be strengthened, we should not shrink from opportunities where our faith may be tried, and therefore, through trial, be strengthened.”
~ George Mueller

POETRY:
A wonderful poem based on Acts 2:26-27. From the Ashes

I love this reminder of the cleansing of forgiveness from 1 John 1:9 Cleansed

INSPIRATION:
This story is a wonderful reminder that we never know how God will use the kindness that we show. The Immigrant

WRITING:
A very good reminder for all those engaged in the practice of putting thoughts to paper. The Danger of Writing

RUNNING:
This is an excellent video, Ironman Run Technique – Gliders vs Gazelles, on different running techniques. I am anxious to hit the road and start experimenting with my running style now that I have the help from this very detail analysis of alternative running styles. Thanks to 5amfitness.ca  for sharing it.

SWIMMING:
This is an excellent post from F.A.S.T.E.R. Today  with a video of Sun Yang’s swimming. I tried this last week. I don’t think I was much faster but could I really  felt it in my lats. I am going to keep playing with this technique since it makes a lot of sense to utilize the larger back muscles on the longer swims rather than the smaller shoulder muscles.

AMAZING:
I don’t have any idea how a person can get their brain to work their hands separately like Mark Kroos does. Mark Kroos Plays Dueling Banjos From Deliverance by Himself

The precision that these guys have to maintain through this course is crazy. I don’t know how fast they are going but it is a magnitude faster than I would go. Check out how fast they pick up speed through these narrow streets. Steephill

I love the hands of a true craftsmanship and artist. Bottled History

"Thumbs up" picture, mostly uploaded...
