This journalist is a true national treasure. He was right; if people had united against the National Socialists, chances are they would not have moved into power. However, several people had been murdered above the powerhouse Hitler, moving him to Chancellor. Hitler was never elected by anyone to his final position. It was a takeover with murder and intrigue.
Insightful quote about an event in history we all can’t help wondering about. We wonder how — and then we realize, that humans were behind it. *Sigh.*
History ignored repeats itself. I see Americans behaving much like the Germans of yesteryear.
