In honor of Noel Paul Stookey, American folk singer and member of the 1960s folk trio Peter, Paul & Mary, who was born on this day in 1937. Shortly after he became a Christian, Stookey wrote the Wedding Song (There is Love) to bless the wedding of his fellow band member Peter Yarrow.

Oh I was just thinking about these lyrics last week and it took a moment to remember it was by Peter Paul & Mary. I always loved playing it when I was a 20 something!
