QUOTE (Florence Nightingale) – May 12
May 12, 2014“If I could give you information of my life it would be to show how a woman of very ordinary ability has been led by God in strange and unaccustomed paths to do in His service what He has done in her. And if I could tell you all, you would see how God has done all, and I nothing. I have worked hard, very hard, that is all; and I have never refused God anything.”
~ Florence Nightingale
In honor of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, who was born on this day in 1820.

I’m a bit late, but Ms Nightingale was the founder of nursing. I’m sure it wasn’t an easy task back in the 1800’s.
At least part of this quote is true of me: I have worked hard, very hard, that is all; and I have never refused God anything.” I work hard but I mostly think I’m working hard on the wrong things. I can’t say I have never refused God anything.
