PRAYER REQUEST – My Dad
February 11, 2014To all my friends from A Devoted Life:
I would greatly appreciate prayers from you all.
My Dad is critically ill and in the intensive care unit (ICU) at the hospital. He has a gangrene infection in his gall bladder. He is too ill for them to operate and remove his gall bladder. We were just told that he is on life support and is experiencing organ failure of the kidneys and heart. We understand that due to low blood pressure there may be other organ damage.
My Dad has loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for as long as I can remember. He is the one that showed me what it looks like to truly love God. His destination is assured. Yet, we selfishly desire to keep him with us and earnestly desire our Lord to heal the infection within his body and restore his health.
We serve the King of kings and Lord of lords. Our God set the stars in the sky and is sovereign beyond the horizons. He has healed the ill before and he will do it again. My prayer is that it will be His will to heal His beloved son who is in desperate need.

Praying for you father JD. I lost my dad to sickness two years ago and I know the feeling. But you must trust God no matter what happens because all things work for the good of those who are called according to His purpose. Be strong!

I am sorry to hear of your sadness. But, you know your Dad loves the Lord and that is so wonderful! Draw near to the Lord and He will Draw near to you and comfort you. Psalm 23 is comforting. Amen.
Praying that the presence of our loving Father will be felt by your dad, you, and your whole family. Our God is an awesome God and a God of miracles. May He work a miracle for your family in any way He sees fit.

Lord, we pray for this man and we ask that You bring comfort to this family. Father we ask that you intercede on behalf of this family in any way that you deem fit. Father your son Jesus paid the price for our healing by the stripes that he bore so we ask that you take that once again you do what you deem fit. Father while we always want our parents to be around at the same time we know that to be absent in body is to be with you… All I ask father is that if there is anything unsaid by this family or father that you somehow allow it to be said before life on earth ceases. We know that you love us and comfort us so we are also asking for favor in this time. AMEN.

I am so sorry to hear this. It was this time last year that my mother was also in the hospital and shortly later went to be with The Lord. I am replaying it in my mind, and I know how tough it is. Praying for you
My heart goes out to you. My elderly mother has been in and out of hospitals for the past 18 months. I will be praying for your father.
