QUOTE (Nate Saint) – Jan 8
January 8, 2014“And people who do not know the Lord ask why in the world we waste our lives as missionaries. They forget that they too are expending their lives… and when the bubble has burst they will have nothing of eternal significance to show for the years they have wasted.”
~ Nate Saint
In honor of Plymouth Brethren missionaries, Jim Elliot, Nate Saint, Roger Youderian, Ed McCully and Pete Fleming, who were killed by the Auca Indians, on this day in 1956.

Wonderful quote from a true missionary.
I should have visited this site sooner. I’ll be back for more. Thanks for visiting The Living Sword.
I am glad you found my blog. I have been enjoying following yours. Loved the samurai dog:)
God Bless!

JD the quote is humbling and sobering. At times, as a Christian, I question my life about whether or not what I am doing is significant. The storms come and go, as do the seasons. I am in a season of stillness, and it is far from peaceful. So, I hope … that at the end I can join folks like Nate Saint, knowing that I ran a good race for something worth running, something worth believing. I did not know that Nate Saint died with Jim Elliott. Good post, JD.
Nate Saint and the others were an amazing group of men and Nate left behind an amazing son also!
Nate Saint, a favorite of mine!
This hits the nail right on the head. A thought we should start every day with. Thanks for passing it on!
